Clinical trial is practised by Sahul Research Foundation in three phases.

PHASE 1

Pre-clinical Pharmacological testing by clinical pharmacologists.
Dose: 1/5th to 1/10th of maximum tolerated dose in the most sensitive species.
Purpose:

1.	To establish safe human dose
2.	To provide pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data

PHASE 2

Clinical testing by clinical pharmacologists
Purpose:

1.	To obtain detailed pharmacokinetic data
2.	To establish clinical efficacy and incidence of side effects
3.	To find out the most appropriate dose schedule

PHASE 3

Clinical trial by clinical investigators, which includes double blind clinical trial

PHASE 4

Post marketing surveillance and evaluation trial by practicing clinicians.
